It is with great joy and gratitude that I welcome home the brave men and women in uniform from their posts overseas back to Colorado Springs. The patriotic and thriving community of Colorado Springs deeply appreciates the dedication to our national defense and the ongoing fight for freedom our soldiers have demonstrated through their tours overseas on and around enemy territories. Upon the arrival of our troops back to Colorado Springs, it is my hope that our fellow citizens will remind them what a wonderful place they left many months ago. Recently rated the number 3 place to live in the entire United States by MSNBC, Colorado Springs continues to house a uniquely high quality of Life. Adding to this optimal living environment is the large number of active church congregations. Congregations vary greatly in size and in what aspects of the Christian life they emphasize, so that each soldier along with his family should be able to find the church home that is just right.
